We have been blessed as we continue to share the Gospel downtown and at the cross. Favorite pictures and stories follow. Enjoy.

'HE GAVE ME A NEW REVELATION OF HIM'

Derrick was trying to fulfill the vision that God had given him for his life. Sometimes we can be so eager to get the job done that we move away from the most important thing: trusting in Christ alone for eternal life.

'What must we do to work the works of God?'

'This is the work of God, that ye believe on Him whom He hath sent.'

'He made me realize it's not about trying to do better. It's about looking for salvation in His name. (My heart) feels wonderful, actually. He gave me a new revelation of Him. He is going to take care of the vision in His time.'

'I KNOW HE PUT YOU HERE FOR ME TODAY.'

Bonitta came out of the courthouse in tears. If we are not where we are supposed to be with God, He can cause the courts to deal unjustly with us. She actually admitted this at the end of our time together.

When I first began sharing the commandments with her, Bonitta was very defensive. She gradually came around by the power of the Holy Spirit and wanted to place her trust in Christ alone as Savior.

When I asked her, 'when' she wanted to do this, she said...

'Yesterday, like yesterday.'

'He put you here and gave me hope through you. He reminded me that I'm not the boss...(My heart feels)...a little bit lighter...a whole lot lighter...It's just that I put trust in Him and let Him be the boss.'

Prayer...'I'm not the boss.'

'Thank you, I needed you, I know He put you here for me today.'

'I LITERALLY NEVER COME THROUGH HERE.'

Bonitta, from above, wanted to respond to the invitation to trust Christ, 'like yesterday.'

Here, Stephanie's response to when she wanted to trust in Christ was, 'like a week ago.'

'Yes, He opened my eyes. He is here to take the burdens so I don't have to carry them. I literally never come through here. I'm not from here. This is the first time I've come downtown.'

I actually got to wave to Stephanie as she drove by while I held the cross that Friday.

Prayer: Thank you. You have done everything for me. You have taken everything at the cross. I will live forever...if I keep trusting Him.

'GOD'S AMAZING PROVIDENCE...READ THIS'

While in Denver, Tyrone had become very angry and was ready to kill someone. Thus to protect Tyrone, God told him 'Get out!'

About that time, before he left, Tyrone discovered that his son in Pennsylvania had overdosed on fentanyl and as a result, ended up with a paralyzed arm. Tyrone now had a destination: Pennsylvania.

While in Pennsylvania, his family told him to go to Harrisonburg to give assistance to a brother who was in need...

And there he met an evangelist in front of the courthouse.

Initially, Tyrone was very defensive. It was only the Holy Spirit who could have persuaded him to listen. Thank you Lord.

Tyrone did not understand the Gospel. He actually said when we started, 'I'm supposed to trust myself! I know I'm a good person!'

After hearing the Gospel, Tyrone wanted to trust Christ...

'He opened my eyes to get back on track quickly by stopping to talk to you. I started trusting Him...good...100%...I trust Him.'

Prayer: 'Thank you for stopping me today to get me back on track. I'm there.'

Tyrone walked past me a few weeks later. You should have seen the big grin on his face.

'SENT FROM ABOVE' (AT THE CROSS)

Luz pulled into the circle K gas station and walked out to the cross to talk with me. She said she had recently become a Christian but really didn't understand. She was 50% sure of going to Heaven.

After hearing the Gospel, Luz got down on her knees with me on the median of route 33 and wanted to place all her trust in Christ alone.

'He cleansed me by taking all my sins away. (My heart) feels nice and relaxed...100%...Jesus.'

Her prayer...'Thank you for allowing me to be saved today. Thank you for opening my heart and leading me here today. Thank you for everything you have done for me in my life.'

'THANK YOU KAREN!' (AFTER HOLDING THE CROSS)

After a long day of holding the cross, I wanted to pack up and go to the pool to swim. Two youth walked by...

Karen spoke up...'You guys want a bracelet?'

When they said yes, guess what my response in my heart was?...'UGH!'

Thank you Karen for being obedient to the Holy Spirit. These two young men really seemed interested in the Gospel and responded heartily to trust in Christ alone. They got excited when we gave them a bible and were looking forward to going to church on Sunday.

Cameron...'I love you...You are almighty God...all powerful...He gave me eternal life.'

Jay...'I trust you.'

Glen, on the left in the pic, is a homeless man we met about a month ago. We shared the Gospel with him and have been working with him.

'ALMOST UNBELIEVABLE....110%'

Jessica came to a point of tears as she heard the Gospel and wanted to trust in Christ alone...

'He made me realize again...keep my faith stronger...(My heart) is kind of hurt that He had to do that...happy that He did...almost unbelievable...110%!...He's the best man in the world!...or...ever!'

'HE OPENED MY EYES.'

'He opened my eyes (by His) love by trusting in God...full of love...100%...I trust in God...He removed a lot of stress.'

Prayer...'I love you...Thank you for your patience and understanding.'

Cruz said to me as he was leaving...'You're doing a great job out here!'

'DOES THIS MEAN THAT I CAN KEEP ON SINNING?'

British theologian D. Martyn Lloyd Jones said...

'There is no better test as to whether a man is really preaching the New Testament gospel of salvation than this, that some people might misunderstand it and misinterpret it to mean that it really amounts to this, that because you are saved by grace alone it does not matter at all what you do; you can go on sinning as much as you like because it will redound all the more to the glory of grace. If my preaching and presentation of the gospel of salvation does not expose it to that misunderstanding, then it is not the Gospel.'

In addition to others, Lloyd Jones used the following three scriptures in defense of his statement...

'Moreover the law entered, that the offence might abound. But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound. That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord. What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?' (Romans 5:20-Romans 6:1)

Jones continues...

'The Gospel, you see, comes as this free gift of God--irrespective of what man does. Now the moment you say something like that, you are liable to provoke someone to say, "Well, if that is so it doesn't matter what I do."

The Apostle takes up that argument more than once in this great epistle. "What then," he says at the beginning of chapter 6, "shall we do evil--commit sin--that grace might abound?"

He's just been saying: "where sin abounded grace does much more abound." "Very well," says someone. "This is a marvelous doctrine, this 'Go and get drunk, do what you like the grace of God will put you right." Antinomianism. Now this doctrine of the scriptures--this justification by faith only, this free gift of God in salvation--is always exposed to that charge of Antinomianism." (End of Quote)

Now, just because it begs the question doesn't mean that we accept the misunderstanding. That is going to the other extreme. But fear for the other extreme should not dissuade us from preaching the true Gospel.

When we truly understand the Gospel and truly trust in Christ alone, then yes, our hearts and our lives do change. Thank you Jesus.

Reggie from above said, 'He gave me a new heart.'

'A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you:' (Ezekiel 36:26)

When the new heart and the new spirit comes, the fruit follows. Amen.

Please pray fervently for me about this issue. I desire with all of my heart to preach the Gospel as God would have me to. I will give an account, and I want to do it correctly.

Paul Washer touches on this some in this three minute video...

Jessica told me that she began making a change in her life about a year ago. However, she was still trusting in her works to get her to Heaven. She kept on saying things like, 'I have to do this!' and 'I have to do that!.

It was very glorious and encouraging to me as I saw, little by little, the Spirit of God changing her thinking as I shared. The stress and tension were leaving, and the peace was coming. Look at her smile in the picture!

Finally, at the end, she wanted to trust in Christ alone and prayed with me.

'He brought you into my life to educate me about more faith and how to achieve eternal life by keeping faith solely in God...(My heart) feels better...filled with hope...100%...I now have eternal life and I'm filled with love and hope.'

'HE TOOK OFF MY COAT.'

'For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.' (2 Cor. 5:21)

Our righteousness (coat) which is a filthy rag, is worn by our Savior at the cross. His righteousness (His coat) which is perfection, is bestowed upon us as a free gift. We are perfect in Christ Jesus.

'He took off my coat. He needed to wear my coat instead of me dragging it along so hard and so long. (My heart feels) warm not broken...100%...He already paid my price.'

Prayer...'Thank you for allowing this man to be here today and sharing this with me.'

Wrangler's smile is also glorious.

'ALL THE WAY FROM D.C.'

Mike, as Bonitta from above, was going through a very serious court issue. As with Bonitta, things were not working out fairly, but (I believe) were designed to cause Mike to look to the Savior.

'HE GAVE ME PEACE. HE WIPED AWAY MY SIN. I DIDN'T PLAY ANY PART...ALL I DID WAS BELIEVE...GOOD...I'M SURE I'M GOING TO HEAVEN BECAUSE OF MY HEAVENLY FATHER.'

David is in the background. I met him a few weeks ago and he has come out several times with a heart to learn how to share the Gospel. Thank you Jesus!
