John was initially 80% sure of eternal life saying that he needed to 'do better, be more active with bible reading and church attendance' to get to 100% sure. John thought he could pay for his sins by 'committing himself to God'. John understood that he was trusting his payment, instead of Christ's blood payment. John professed Christ alone as his savior and said, "HE SAVED ME. MY HEART FEELS BETTER."
