Alexis was 50-50 on eternal life because of her goodness. She thought that if she was 'completely good', then she would be 100% sure. The gospel was shared. She came to understand that her goodness was a filthy rag. She understood that she was trying to pay for her sins with her goodness. She transferred her trust from her goodness to Christ alone and professed 100% assurance of salvation because of Christ alone.
